At USA Warehousing, safety and regulatory compliance are built into our everyday operations. Handling food-grade and tech-grade products requires precision, and we approach that responsibility with consistent processes, ongoing training, and clear accountability at every level.
We view safety as more than a checklist. It’s an ongoing practice rooted in regulatory requirements and in our responsibility to the brands who trust us with their products.
Meeting and Maintaining Standards
Our facilities are FDA-approved and operate under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). We are SQF-certified and also maintain kosher and organic certifications. These certifications guide how we store, handle, and ship materials, helping prevent contamination and ensuring traceability.
To support this, we keep an up-to-date policy manual and secure digital library so employees at all locations can quickly reference current procedures. New regulatory updates from the FDA and other certifying bodies are incorporated into our programs as soon as they are issued.
Consistency Across All Locations
USA Warehousing operates three New Jersey facilities: Piscataway (Main), Piscataway (Circle Drive), and Hillsborough. Each site follows the same safety and sanitation protocols so customers receive a uniform level of service regardless of location.
Our team members are cross-trained to understand multiple roles, allowing them to assist one another when needed. This approach supports consistent housekeeping, compliance, and quality control.
Ongoing Training and Awareness
We provide monthly, topic-specific training sessions covering areas such as pest control, warehouse sanitation, and maintaining an 18-inch clearance around stored materials. These sessions explain the reasons behind each rule, reinforcing why they matter.
Employees are trained on which personal protective equipment (PPE) to wear, which cleaning chemicals to use, and how to perform tasks safely. This ensures that everyone, regardless of position, understands their part in maintaining safe and compliant operations.
Controlled Access and Security
Visitors to our facilities sign in on arrival and receive clear site rules, such as no food or drink on the warehouse floor and no photography without permission. Contractors are monitored to confirm their work areas are cleaned and any chemicals are disposed of properly.
We also maintain locked entrances, visitor badges, high-visibility vests, and 24/7 closed-circuit camera access for senior managers. Internal security drills are conducted to test and improve our systems.
Crisis Management and Food Defense
Crisis management plans are part of our certification requirements and are reviewed with staff to prepare for events such as power outages, fires, or other disruptions.
We also run a Food Defense program, which includes verifying inbound shipment seals, labels, and packaging integrity, as well as inspecting and sealing outbound shipments. Seal numbers are recorded for customer verification so that products remain secure from dock to dock.
Why This Matters for Our Customers
For us, compliance and safety are ongoing efforts. Procedures are regularly reviewed and refined to meet evolving standards. Whether you store food-grade additives, personal care ingredients, or bulk food chemicals with us, you can expect transparency, adherence to regulations, and a proactive approach to protecting your products.
